Business Architecture Management

We are a Guild Accredited Training Partner® (GATP®). Our foundation and advanced courses on business architecture management are accredited through the Business Architecture Guild and help prepare for the certification exam to become a Certified Business Architect®.

The main basis of our courses is the BIZBOK Guide® (A Guide to the Business Architecture Body of Knowledge®) as well as our anthology "Business Architecture Management - Architecting the Business for Consistency and Alignment".

Note: From 21 to 24 November 2017 we offer a public bootcamp in English language that integrates the contents of the foundation and advanced courses as outlined below (register here).

Foundation Course: Business Architecture Management

Being regularly forced to reconsider the business model und realign the organization accordingly - this requires an approach, with which strategy / motivation and business operations can be properly aligned with each other and effectively managed. Business architecture promises a framework that offers orientation and helps combine different instruments for analysis and planning in a reasonable way.

Course Content:

In our business architecture management foundation course you obtain an overview of business architecture elements and get to know selected methods / techniques for their application. This includes their integration into processes of corporate planning (e.g., strategy development, portfolio planning) as well as into solution projects. In specific, the course deals with the following subjects:

  • Overview of business architecture content and benefits
  • Business motivation: elements (e.g., goals, strategies) and instruments
  • Business model: elements (e.g., products / services, customers, cooperations, channels) and instruments
  • Business operations: elements (e.g., business capabilities, processes, organizational structure, culture) and instruments
  • Integrated application of business architecture
  • Business architecture modeling
  • Organizational implementation (e.g., roles)

Advanced Course: Business Motivation / Strategy

Our business motivation / strategy course offers specifics about elements and corresponding methods / techniques of strategic planning, illustrated based on examples from practice.

Course Content:

In specific, the course deals with the following subjects:

  • Overview of business motivation elements as part of the business architecture
  • Business motivation mapping (e.g., vision, goals, strategies)
  • Business motivation setting (context analyses, goal definition, strategy development)
  • Role of the business model as an instrument of strategic planning
  • Communication of the business motivation
