The briefing provides a concise and illustrative introduction to Business Architecture (BA) practices. It is particularly well suited for providing a basic understanding and communicating the value of BA to top managers and other key stakeholders within the organization. Specifically, the briefing covers the following topics:

  • Overview of Business Architecture layers (Business Motivation, Business Model, Business Execution)
  • Core Business Architecture concepts (such as Capabilities, Value Streams)
  • Presentation of typical use cases (including stakeholders and value contribution)
  • Overview of establishing/implementing Business Architecture practices

Arash Mostashari is a Partner at Scape Consulting and responsible for the academy business. He is a certified Enterprise and Business Architect (incl. TOGAF®, CBA®, ArchiMate®) and trainer for Business Architecture. As a consultant, he is specialized in establishing, realigning, and implementing EA capabilities. In this context he has been helping companies across various industries at business and IT level in problem solving, planning, development, and communication using architecture methods and techniques, such as strategy mapping, value stream mapping, customer journey mapping and capability-based planning.
