Training Course TOGAF®
General
The importance of Enterprise Architecture (EA) is undisputed, especially for managing complex transformations. However, decision-makers in business and IT often find it difficult to grasp the concrete benefits of EA for the organization and to clearly communicate these benefits to everyone. As a result, EA practices often suffer from poor acceptance and effectiveness. For EA to be successful, it is therefore crucial to first develop a good basic understanding of EA, to understand the potential added value for different stakeholder groups, and to become familiar with common application scenarios.
Course Content
The training provides a comprehensive and illustrative introduction to Enterprise Architecture (EA), serving as an ideal resource for learning the fundamentals of EA and as a foundation for implementing EA practices. It covers the main architectural layers (business, application, information, and technology architecture) and explains key architectural elements, methods, application scenarios, and architectural perspectives. The training also addresses the organization of EA functions using architecture roles and EA tools as well as the process of establishing an EA practice from scratch. In detail, the training covers the following topics:
- Introduction and definition of key EA concepts
- Overview of enterprise architecture layers
- Presentation of important application scenarios (incl. stakeholders and value contribution)
- In-depth exploration of application scenarios through practical exercises
- Establishment and organization of an EA function
