Katharina joined Scape in 2022 as an Associate Architect and has since been working in the public, IT services, and biotech sector.
Why Scape?
Scape offers me not only a job, but also an environment where people who are passionate about Enterprise Architecture and enjoy sharing their knowledge can come together. The training portfolio is tailored to my interests, which allows me to improve my skills and develop personally.
Why did you choose to become an Enterprise Architecture (EA) consultant?
My work as an EA consultant gives me the opportunity to work closely with our clients from a wide range of industries and to gain a broad insight into different company structures, business models and specific challenges. The variety of projects and topics allows me to apply my expertise in a flexible way and to develop solutions that best meet the customer's needs.

What are your responsibilities in client projects?
The tasks in the projects vary depending on the customer's requirements and the project conditions. Our primary goal is always to provide the customer with the best possible support and to work together with them to master the tasks at hand in order to achieve the highest quality results. In my current role, I am responsible for the classic tasks of Enterprise Architecture Management. This includes the collection of information and ongoing quality assurance of the current landscapes, support in the systematic assessment of the maturity level of an EA function, and the development of metrics to measure the quality of architecture data. I also have the opportunity to work on other topics, such as the design and analysis of information architectures. To accomplish my tasks, I always have the opportunity to exchange ideas with my experienced colleagues and benefit from their many years of experience.
What advice can you give to people who want to get into EA consulting?
First and foremost, it is important to learn the basics of EA as they are the foundation for a full understanding of the subject. If you encounter obstacles along the way, you should see them as opportunities for personal and professional growth. Take advantage of every opportunity to learn and network with EA professionals to benefit from the experience.
